Rich Ronco Holds His Pace to Capture the Overall Trophy Truck Win in Laughlin, NV

- Pat Dean Captures victories both Saturday and Sunday for the Overall and Class 1 win's here in Laughlin

4:00PM
- Barry Karakas pulls off the infield after almost finishing his first lap

- Karakas was off the course for a few minutes but is up and going again

3:56PM
- Pat Dean is now getting into lapped traffic in the infield

- #129 driven by Adam Householder was rented from Playtech Racing is running strong, they had some problems yesterday and weren't able to finish

- Josh Rigsby pulled off the course and is headed to the main pit just as 126 of Barry Karakas makes his way out of the pits and onto the course for his first lap

- BJ Richardson lost a few positions on this lap

- Ramirez, Shipman and Dale Lenk all bumper to bumper coming out of the last turn, two laps to go

- Pat Dean leading the next class 1 car of BJ Richardson by one minute

- Harley Letner having problems once again

- Luis Ramirez Jr moving quick trying to catch the leaders

- Dean leading over BJ Richardson

- SCORE Officials stop Letner at Start/ Finish as they couldn't see his numbers

- Letner running in third position followed by, Chuck Dempsey, Steve Barry, Brian Parkhouse, and Dale Lenk

- All the cars are covered in mud and if you don't know the car there's no way you would be able to tell them apart

- Danny Anderson, driving the #132 Fox Racing Shox/ Mendeola powered Class 1 made his way from 16th to 4th position. Anderson is making up some time.

- Dale Ebberts off the pace as he doesn't make it back to the infield

- #125 of Josh Rigby had a few starting issues at the start/finish but got rolling after a few minutes

3:20PM
- Pat Dean holds the lead

- Dale Ebberts putting the pressure on Pat Dean only seconds behind him

- BJ Richardson who finished second yesterday is trying to catch up to the other LVDC car of Pat Dean while Chuck Dempsey hunts him down

- #126 Barry Karakas pulls off the course and jumps out of the car as the rear end smokes uncontrollably

3:10PM
- Pat Dean holds the lead over Dale Ebberts, the two started side by side and Dean has a few seconds on Ebberts

- These class 1 cars are filled with mud as they come thru to finish their first lap

- Running order: Pat Dean, Dale Ebberts, John Harrah, BJ Richardson, Chuck Dempsey, Steve Barry, Jeff Farris, Harley Letner, Danny Anderson, Eric Chase, and Luis Ramirez Jr after one lap

3:00PM
- Yesterday's winner, Pat Dean, first off the line next to Dale Eberts both looking for the overall win

- Harley Letner in the #101 Letner Racing Class 1 was leading the entire field during yesterday's race until he broke with only a few laps to go

- #117 of Armin Schwarz pulls off the track, his crew is standing by ready to lend a hand if he pulls into the pits

- At this race there is no chasing/ crew support allowed unless you pull into the hot pits or your main pit area

2:30PM
- Officially Rich Ronco takes the Trophy Truck win here for the 14th Laughlin Desert Challenge. This is Ronco's first Trophy Truck win!

2:11PM
- Carl Renezeder crosses the finish line first, followed by Rob MacCachren but its going to be close for the overall between BJ Baldwin and Rich Ronco

- Robby Gordon reportedly rolled his truck just out of the infield

2:05PM
- It's Robby Gordon in the lead only seconds in front of Carl Renezeder, these two are in it for a win. Neither will get the win for the weekend as you must complete all laps of both days in order to come out on top but they sure are putting a show on for their fans

- It's going to be close between BJ Baldwin and Rich Ronco for the overall win here in Lauglin

- We have a little taste of CORR action here in the infield. Renezeder and MacCachren are door to door, back and forth on the infield

- Renezeder gets out first of the start, this is a battle to watch.These two teamed up with Mark Post for the 40th SCORE Baja 1000 to capture victory and here they are banging fenders with each other

- Nascar driver Robby Gordon is trying to make his way up to the front, he made his way past BJ Baldwin just before hitting the infield

- The corrected time on the top three guys is going to be a close call, they all started in the back of the pack as none of them finished yesterdays race and here they are in front. All of these guys race shortcourse and have an advantage at racing fender to fender on this 6 mile course

- Travis Coyne who has been racing the past two seasons in the CORR shortcourse series has a little bit of an advantage at these short races. Other crossover drivers include, Rob MacCachren, Robby Gordon, Josh Baldwin and Jerry Whelchel.

- Due to the carnage during yesterday's race the following trucks never made it to the start ine today,

1:45PM
- It looks like Jesse James in the Monster Garage is really having problems, he's two laps behind the leader.

- Rob MacCachren, BJ Baldwin, Carl Renezeder and Robby Gordon are within seconds of each other, fighting back and forth all vying for the first win of the season

- BJ Baldwin took off next to his dad Bobby and never looked back, BJ is looking for his third consecutive win here in Laughlin this year

1:37PM
- Tavo Vildolsola doesn't make it back in the lead

- BJ Baldwin is trying to hunt down the #1 of Rob MacCachren

- Rich Ronco, Carl Renezeder and Robby Gordon right behind Baldwin

- Damen Jeffries is having a remarkable weekend, they had many problems last season and it looks as if they have worked the majority of the problems out

- Travis Coyne flies by in the #5 Pro Comp/ Monster Energy and newly acquired Toyo Tires Trophy Truck

- Clyde Stout out of the race and being towed off course by SCORE officials

1:31PM
- Travis Coyne tries to catch up to former teammate Robby Gordon while trying to hold off Bobby Baldwin

- Clyde Stout having motor issues as he goes out on his 4th lap

- Bill McBeath is followed closely by Robby Pierce

- Brian Collins in the #12 Mopar Trophy Truck seems to be broke out on the course

- 85 of Todd Wylie just completes his first lap as Rob MacCachren moves into the top spot

1:26PM
- Rob MacCachren in the #1 Riviera Racing truck moved into second position. Rob had to start toward the back of the pack as they broke a transmission yesterday and didn't finish

- BJ Baldwin is bumber to bumber with Rich Ronco, he wants by!

- Robby Gordon, a fan favorite, is picking people off as he moves into 7th position

1:21PM
- Josh Baldwin in his new Geiser/ Pence #86 comes up a few minutes short of the lead

- Bobby Baldwin, Clyde Stout, Bill McBeath, Stephan Jangaard and Robbie Pierce all make it around to complete their second lap

- We talked to Rob MacCachren after he got out of the SCORE Lite about an hour ago and he told us that the track wasn't hard packed like he expected it to be, it was "soupy".

- Jesse James still cruising around the course at the end of the lead lap

1:19PM
- Just as Travis Coyne makes his way to the start/finish Carl Renezeder comes up behind with his siren telling him to get out of the way

- Robby Gordon has moved up a few positions but seems to be taking it a little easier than normal

1:17PM
- Tavo comes into the infield as Roger Norman won't move out of the way as the leader laps him

- Tavo got around but not without Norman putting up a fight

- BJ Baldwin running in 3rd physically with Rob MacCachren who just got out of the #1200 SCORE Lite car on his bumper

- The top six Trophy Trucks are all running within 2 minutes of each other

- Robbie Pierce, Josh Baldwin and Bobby Baldwin within seconds of each other coming into the finish

- Robby Gordon was in the middle of the pack sliding into the finish looking for the lead spot coming out of the infield

- Jesse James limps his way around the infield as his top dawg co-driver, Tom Geivis, leads him thru the mud

- Tavo in the #4 still holding the top spot coming into the infield

- Rich Ronco follows Tavo with BJ Baldwin making a pass on Damin Jeffries in the infield

- Rob MacCachren and Brian Collins back and forth of the Laughlin Leap

- It's Robby Gordon next to Spires in the #48, Spires holds his own next to Gordon off the line

- Roger Norman in the #8 red and yellow Trophy Truck still having problems just off the start line.

- Robbie Pierce pulls away from Roger Norman off the start

- Rob MacCachren on the pipe and ready to rock and roll in the Riviera Racing/ Rockstar Energy/ Makita USA #1 Championship truck

- Tavo in the #4 and Ronco in the #45 are off the line, get ready for round two of trophy truck action in Laughlin, Nv

- BJ Baldwin gets the lead over his dad Bobby

- Adam Pfankuch driving the #1204 finishes first in the SCORE Lite class with Rob MacCachren finishing 3 minutes behind him

- Chris Harrold brings the #1007 to a win here in Laughin

- Tons of motors not up to par in the cold, wet weather

- Chris Harrold and Jesse McClain are 1st / 2nd physically, both driving Mendeola Class 10 cars.

- Rob MacCachren came in sputtering behind Rick St. James

- #502 Kevin Carr finishes up his 4th lap, with 3 laps to go he leads the Class 5 field

- Randy Ross in the #1208 comes out of the main pits and back onto the course

- Carlos Albanez finishes his 4th lap only seconds behind Carr, even after starting late.

- #500 Carlos Albanez was late to the start but is making up a considerably good amount of time on the two other Class 5 cars that are racing today.

- Randy Ross is flagged thru the start/ finish area and goes out on his third lap.

- Each class in this group has 80 minutes to complete 7 laps

- Chris Harrold out of Chula Vista, Ca makes his way around the muddy race course. The rain is still coming down as these racers try to make their way thru the muddy infield.

- Rick St. John who came in 3rd after yesterday's race, moved his way from the back of the pack where he started 10th and is currently trying to hunt down Rob MacCachren in front in the #1200 of Watson/ Noe

11:13AM
- Chris Harrold flies thru the infield and off the Laughlin Leap throwing water everywhere

- Rob MacCachren comes by first in the SCORE Lite class two minutes behind Harrold in the Mendeola/ Fox Racing Shox Class 10. Rob MacCachren set the fastest qualifying lap time in the #1 Riviera Racing Trophy Truck during Friday's qualifying.

- Chris Harrold who won yesterday's race was first off the line.

- Taking off second in SCORE Lite is Rob MacCachren, driving the Watson/ Noe's single seat SCORE Lite.

- Todd Wylie had a flawless race and finished first, after he lapped the next class 8 truck of Greg Adler

- #1548 of Dan Vance was leading the sportsman truck class until he had problems on the start. Robert Anderson and Brian Freemal flew by him, both taking advantage of the lead.

- Clyde Stacy #879 pulls off the course and heading to main pit

9:16AM
- The #745 truck of Heidi Steel is being driven by her teammate this morning, was the first 7SX truck to complete their first lap.

9:14AM
- Jason Voss, in the #235 protruck, just has to cruise around the course and finish to capture a win as he is the only protruck out here this weekend.

9:12AM
- Todd Wylie, who started third in Class 8 is the first one back to the start/finish line. Wylie is also racing his #85 Trophy Truck and finished 9th in yesterdays race. Wylie was running in the top three when he rolled his truck up and over a burm in the center of the infield.

9:01AM
- Group 2: Class 8, Protruck, Class 7, Class 7SX, Stock Full, Stock Mini, Class 3 and Sportsman Truck are off the line.

- Yesterday there was alot of carnage out on the track, trucks and cars were pulling off course left and right. Today the amount of mud and water on the course in tremendous and it doesn't look like the skies are letting up any time soon.

Cory Boyer Takes the First Win of the 2008 SCORE Desert Season in his #1649 Boyer Motorsports 1-2/1600

8:22AM
- It looks like Cory Boyer who won yesterday's race is going to take the 1-2/1600 win for this weekend here in Laughlin, Nv. Boyer is the only one who didn't have problems due to the heavy amount of water on the course. Dirtnewz staffers just spoke with a few of the drivers and Adam Pfankuch commented, "I'm numb, it's cold and wet out there. I was running good and then dropped down to two cylinders and barely made it to the finish."

8:15AM
- Rulo Solano is out of the race and being towed out of the infield by SCORE officials

8:00AM
- Rory Ward is keeping up with the leaders in the 1-2/1600 class in his #1449 sportsman buggy

- Adam Pfankuch is running about 1 minute behind the leaders and seems to be down in horsepower

- The start/ finish area is turning into a huge mudhole as cars are getting stuck and having problems with excessive water

7:56AM
- #1104 - Jake Mueller & 1102 - Todd Lucero make it thru the weekend to finish second and third here in Laughlin, Nv

- #1100 - Ramon Fernandez is the first finisher of the day

- #551 being towed off the course by a SCORE official

- with three laps to go, #550 Mario Reynoso comes thru sputtering. It seems the rain is taking it's toll on a number of vehicles this morning

- #565 - Rulo Solano and #563 - Brent Shermak back to back about 4 minutes behind their class leaders

- Kelley Renezeder in her Lucas Oil #1404 is making up some time as she moves into second place

- #551 of Patrick Dailey pulls off the course, both co-driver and driver out of the car checking things out

7:40AM
- #1604 - Mike Simpson, #1617 Cody Robinson & #1609 Adam Pfankuch slide into the start/ finish side by side, all vying for the top spot out of the infield

7:35AM
- #1602 is back from the main pits to start his race, two laps down from the leaders

- #556 having problems off the start and had to be push started by SCORE officials

- First Class 11 to finish two out of three laps is Ramon Fernandez

- Brent Shermak and Rulo Solano, who both had problems yesterdan and did not finish, are battling it out side by side in the rain and mud

- Dave Caspino and Hiram Duran fight for the lead position as they start their third lap

- Mike Simpson, Cody Robinson, and Adam Pfankuch all running strong and fighting for a top spot right behind the leaders

- The top three 5/1600's all running within 30 seconds of each other, Enrique Zazueta, Marcos Nunez and Jose Angulo

7:18AM
- Almost two laps down, #1602 of Myan Spaccarelli just makes it to the start line, goes about 200 feet and pulls off the track and is now heading towards the main pit

- 1100, 1104, and 1102 thru the start/ finish

- #551 of Patrick Dailey, driving the KalGard Orange Machine built by ORAF, comes thru the infield in the lead

7:10AM
- #1649 of Cory Boyer who had the fastest race yesterday is the first 1-2/1600 thru start/ finish

- Hiram Duran, Dave Caspino, Adam Pfankuch and Mike Simpson only seconds behind Boyer

7:08AM
- Adam Ashcraft having problems right off the start, he is heading back to main pit now

- Group 1: 1-2/1600, 5/1600, 11 and Sportsman car off the line

- Tons of water is being poured out of the sky as we have one hour until the first race of the day see's the green flag. Drivers and co-drivers are getting in their rain gear, applying Rain-X to their visors and preparing for a wet, cold race.
