KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 11:20 A.M.

Pahrump, Nevada (April 28, 2007) Mark Post and Rob MacCachren continue their winning efforts as they ran the Riviera Racing #3 Trick Truck hard today capturing their third Trick/Trophy Truck win in a row.

Rob MacCachren started in the race truck before turning it over to Mark Post at Pit 5. The duo have set the desert ablaze this season as this win marks another victory for Riviera Racing .

Chuck Hovey railed through the Southern Nevada desert and is back on track after he and his team struggled in 2006. Hovey had a flawless day with no flats on his BFGoodrich Tires and while his FOX Racing Shox dialed to perfection. Hovey captured the Overall Victory only after he ran through a water hole just before Pit 2 and killed the motor. He sat in the desert for a few minutes before he was able to get his Class 1500 started again and then it was GAS ON for Hovey the rest of the day.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 10:11 A.M.

Riviera Racing continues to charge towards the finish line despite the tragedy that struck the team this morning.

The carnage to race cars on the race course is prevelant as a number of teams have pulled the plug after suffering a variety of broken components. A lone UTV has just been waved off from continuing the race by BITD officials at Pit 1.

Riviera Racing No.3 through RM 140 continues out in front chased by Ebberts and Hovey for physical lead.

A pack of UTV's is clearing Pit 2 at RM 44.2

#1598 crashed and refuse any medical awaiting crew with trailer.

UTV #1926 out at RM 5.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 9:07 A.M.

It's a well-know fact that desert racing is inherently a dangerous motorsport. Whether you're the driver, co-driver or one of the many crew members desert racing it's dangerous. Tragedy struck the Riviera Racing team this morning when two crew members from the Riviera Race team, were assembling Pit 5 and while erecting the communication antenna mast electricity from a live power line arc'd killing one crew member instantly and injuring another standing nearby. BITD Officials working closely with police and fire are handling the situation. The race course will be run under a slow red flag in the area as the investigation by law enforcement/coroner investigators is a slow methodical process. This pit was scheduled to be the primary pit stop for the Riviera Racing truck.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 8:59 A.M.

Rob MacCachren started this Terrible's Town 250 race and he's battle "on time" with the best in the business all the while racing in clean air. The No.3 Riviera Racing truck is through RM 116 continuing a fast and furious run in the front of the pack.

#3 Rob Mac/Mark Post nearing Pit 4 as they continue to lead.

#1019/Bell Out of race at race mile 20.

BITD Officials reporting the 170 racers went of the start line here in Southern Nevada for the BITD Terrible's Town 250.

Matt & David Scaroni pass through 44.2 flawlessly in debuting of the new SMD Motorsports #27 Geiser-built Trick Truck. Matt, driving the first half, was smiling as he pushed the new truck through the desert followed by....

Bobby Baldwin racing the Baldwin Motorsports #96 Collins-prepped race truck.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 8:11 A.M.

Trick Truck driver McBeath pushing big sideways coming into race mile 44.2

Trick Truck #25 Willardson with a flat betwen Pit 1 and Pit 2.

Trick Truck #39 Ron Whitton / Big Smitty contiues to run strong through 44.2.

#1552 Broken leg at RM 14 on course - Medics enroute.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 8:04A.M.

Rob Mac/Mark Post through racemile 66 as they contiue to run out in front. Riviera Racing has 25% of this race completely flawlessly.

Kincaid now just through Pit 2 at racemil 44.2. Kincaid fighting the heavy dust.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 8:02A.M.

Pistol Pete / Lance Clifford in the Schampa Trick Truck through Pit 2...Can Pistol do double-duty as the Pistol Vision commentator and Trick Truck driver. Time will tell as we test that ability in the near future.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 7:58A.M.

Terrible Herbst #19 Trick Truck running fast through Pit 2 at 44.2 followed by Damen Jeffries/Joe Myers in the Full Throttle Jeffries Class 1.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 7:55A.M.

Long time racing veteran, Sam Berri, is hauling the mail and continues to push hard here in the Nevada desert. Berri through RM 44.2.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 7:53A.M.

The reigning BITD Trick Truck Champion - Garron Cadiente passes through Pit 2 after emerging from dust bowl into Pit 2. Cadiente followed by Sproule and Mark Weyhrich.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 7:51A.M.

There is little wind at this time making conditions extremely dusty for racers. Pat Dean in the 1501 car chasing lead pack as Harley Letner / Cory Halponoff come into Pit 2 after chasing Pat Dean in the Las Vegas Dissemination car. Letner/Halponoff run 32 second stop in pits as crew yelling for water.

KARTEK / FOX RACING UPDATE: 7:38A.M.

Riviera Racing's Rob MacCachren/Mark Post continue to run fast and clean through Pit 2 with nearly four minute lead.

#1580 through the 95 Highway crossing between Pits 1 @ 2 on fire while running.

Danny/Dale Ebberts stopped on course for two minutes just prior to Pit 2 and is the second vehicle chased only 20 seconds behind by Chuck Hovey in the his red single-seat car.

FOX RACING UPDATE: 7:17 A.M.

Rob MacCachren/Mark Post started first and they are the first vehicle through RM 18.8/Pit 1 running in clean air and trouble free at this time.

#1532 at RM 11 with broken belt fixing now.


FOX RACING UPDATE: 6:30 A.M.

Pahrump, Nevada (April 28, 2007) The sun has risen over the sharp mountain peaks of Southern Nevada. Pits have come alive as BITD voluteers FOX RACING UPDATE: 6:30 A.M. are preparing road crossings and the BLM Rangers held an early morning briefing on Hwy 95 just outside of Amargosa Valley. DIRTnewz will provide updates on the physical leaders from race miles 44.2, 116, 215 and the finish line.
