Cadiente roars to Overall and SCORE Trophy-Truck victory; Roeseler/Herbst top Class 1 at SCORE Terrible's Primm 300

PRIMM, Nev.—Driving with power, consistency and finesse, Arizona’s Garron Cadiente deftly manuevered his No.38 G&R Racing Ford F-150 race truck to the overall and SCORE Trophy-Truck victory Saturday at the 12th Annual SCORE Terrible’s Primm 300 desert race. In earning his second career SCORE Trophy-Truck race win, Cadiente, the 2006 SCORE Rookie of the Year, covered the rugged 288-mile race in four hours, 56 minutes and 34 seconds, averaging a ground-pounding 58.27 miles per hour while covering the four laps over the rugged 72-mile desert race course.

Co-rider in SCORE Desert Race fatally Injured during race accident Saturday

PRIMM, Nev.--Erick Morales, 33, of Ensenada, Mexico, was fatally injured when the race vehicle he was riding in crashed during the start of Saturday's SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 desert race in Primm, Nev.

Primm, Nevada (September 8, 2007) The carnage continues here in Primm. Todd Wylie continues to lead from the first lap. Wylie was the first trophy truck to start his third lap, followed by Garron Cadiente, Tim/Ed Herbst, Travis Coyne and BJ Baldwin.

Primm, Nevada (September 8, 2007) The field of SCORE elite Trophy Truck drivers have taken to the field and the early strong racers include Brian Collins, BJ Baldwin, Mark Post/Rob MacCachren,Scott-Andy McMillin, Ryan Arciero, Todd Wylie followed by Ryan Thomas in the Chet Huffman Trophy Truck.

SCORE sufffered a tragic loss this afternoon as the co-driver in a Class 1 car was rushed to the hospital after suffering what is believed to be fatal injuries. The Class 1 buggy crash right off the start line in the first set of bumps in the in field sending the buggy flying through the air wildly and crashing end-over-end. The driver and co-driver were extracted by SCORE rescue personnel who immediately started CPR on the co-driver. More information will be posted when available.

Primm, Nevada (September 8, 2007) DIRTnewz Racing's FOX Racing Shox/Monster Energy/BFGoodrich Tires sponsored 5/1600 car raced the fastest of the class this morning in the first group of racers that left the line in the 2007 edition of the SCORE Terrible's PRIMM 300. Starting from the third postion the #553 car got past the first two starters in class by race mile six and never looked back. "This has been a long time coming. ORAF prepped the car to perfection and we had a flawless run in the Nevada desert. FOX Racing Shox recently dialed a new shock package in our car and BFGoodrich Tires performed incredible. No flats all day long. Of course we slammed MONSTER Energy all race long...Many thanks to all of our sponsors," commented DIRTnewz Racing team owner - Tim Sanchez.
