Currie finishes top ten at Chula Vista
Anaheim, CA (August 4, 2008) - Heading into rounds 7 and 8 at Chula Vista, Casey Currie and his team had a plan to move forward in the Bully Dog Technologies Truck.
The Bully Dog Technologies Pro lite started out qualifying 8th for Round 7 putting Casey on the pole after the inversion. When the green flag dropped Saturday Casey got a great jump and was leading the pack. After leading for 3 laps a caution slowed the complete field do to a crash in the last turn. Right before the green flag was going to drop Casey's truck would start having fuel pick up issues slowing him. After 2 more laps of the truck slowing it finally came to a stop.
Casey "We had a great truck today and it was what we needed to win. I felt comfortable leading the pack and the truck was handling great with the track conditions."
Round 8 on Sunday started out qualifying 11th out of 28 trucks putting Casey on the 6th row.
On the drop of the green flag Casey moved his way forward getting all the way up to the top 5 by the mid way. After the mid way caution the track took a turn on us and the truck fell off pace moving us to 8th by the finish.
Casey “We needed the finishing points today. I will take what we got today and go to Pomona with a new outlook. We are making some changes and we are getting stronger and stronger every race.
